Tony, I am new to your site but have found your articles and bible studies are always very well researched. I have found them to be refreshing, thought-provoking, and very encouraging. I grew up reading and listening to Michael Horton and have been blessed by his ministry also. I want to thank the Lord for ministering to you such a Godly web site resource. I'm sure you know that they are really hard to find these days. May God continue to use you for His Glory Keep up the great work.

I studies under Orval Heath and wanted to re-read his view of eschatology Amillennialism, since Orval has retired and I wanted to share the view I grew to understand as the most solid.

Orval always said if you come to Mena and say you know Orval Heath; be ready to duck or get kissed, for his views are not widely accpeted on eschatology.

I read an elaborate article someone here wrote on the word "Selah"; (I read it elsewhere online.) Didn't it ever occur to the writer to just check the Peoples Bible the Apostles gave the Church which the Orthodox have been using without interruption to find out what "Selah" means? It simply means "musical interlude" (definition from "A Greek-English Lexicon Of The Septuagint by T. Muraoka).

If you all aren't using an English translation of the Greek Old Testament/the Septuagint, you are are reading a falsified and mutilated Hebrew text named "Masoretic." And if you are reading the NETS Septuagint you are still reading the Masoretic Text disguised as the Septuagint: the translators admit they based the NETS on the NRSV!

Greetings brothers and sisters. I am blessed to know that whatever knowledge and happiness we may acquire in this life is given that we might become leaders. It is the wise servant of God who uses that knowledge not only with humility, but also with compassion, charity, and love. I believe we have that here. I have seen many who don't and they become no better than those without it. God bless you all.

Dear Pastor / Brother in Christ,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus. I am Pastor Bashir from India. We're no strangers to God's love. You know He rules and so do I. What knowledge and wisdom we may acquire in life makes us leaders. You have acquired great wisdom and knowledge, clearly you are God blessed. Wise are those who use it with compassion above pride, else we may become no better than those without it. Keep up the good work of Christ.

Regards, Bashir

    Hello,
I just wanted to thank the Mountain Retreat for all its work in promoting the real gospel. God Bless you and your families in all that you do to set travelers on the right track. People helping people to understand salvation and being fed with the gospel is the true evangelism, not the political hacks that pass for evangelicals today. I just enjoyed reading some of your sermons pages and many of the sermons brought back memories of attending church with my grandma.

I can tell you that having myself been a victim of the televangelistic false gospels for a while, I am more than surprised to have come across these sound biblically validated articles, sermons and beliefs. Keep up the good work of spreading God authored Good News. The Lord will abundantly bless you and guide you.

Php 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Never turn liberal Christianity in being disobedient my friends

Bill

Just wanted to say that I have gotten a new appreciation for the book of Revelation through your verse by verse studies of the book. From the wild views that I have read elsewhere, I used to think that the interpretation of Revelation was strictly subjective until I began reading your studies on the divinely inspired synchronicity of the symbolism and imagery. I see it so clearly now that I wonder why I never quite noticed it before. Candlesticks, serpents, chains, stars falling, horsemen, binding, scorpion stings, olive trees, etc. You are so correct, interpretations belong to God. And he has revealed so much to us through the Revelation. All of a sudden the book becomes a Revelation and enlightenment rather than a mystery. We thank God for you.

May our gracious Lord richly bless your labors in faithfully preaching his gospel. I truly feel that you and those at this site can rest assured of the prayers of the true church for this loving resource.

I have enjoyed your Christian website for a couple of days now and have been blessed by your solid teaching on the word of God. There are not many men who dedicate their lives to teaching and preaching God's word directly from scripture in a very understandable and systematic way. I just want to thank God and ask that God bless you richly. It is very obvious that a lot of time, money and energy were devoted to establishing and maintaining this resource. I pray that you and all visitors are abundantly blessed by such wonderful works in preaching the gospel truth. Simply a treasure trove of outstanding articles, sermons, reformed papers, and theology. May His grace and mercy be with you always!

I would like to tell you that your reformed religion lacks the grace that your church claims it was built upon. To say we are predestinated and have no free will is not grace, that's law. Without free will we are all robots instead of people. Don't you think God wants us to think? Do you know that predestination takes away grace? I would hope you would read about grace and come to rethink your position on the Christian doctrine of free will. Thanks for listening.
