Kenneth told me to visit your site and praise God that I did! I have been longing to find theology that is good old fashioned truth rather than the evangelical nonsense and watered down dribble that is found on most christian blogs. I knew I had found something special when I read articles by men like Robert B. Strimple, Prof. David Engelsma and Kim Riddlebarger. Thank you very much for this great resource. Just wanted to let you know your above article has helped to convince my husband to believe the real truth as Jesus had explained to the Apostles.
For 15 or so years I have spent time trying to prove to him that the false church is an abomination.
Your site is wonderful, so helpful for those in doubt or confused. We live in Australia, not a lot of true believers here unfortunately. Could you help me with some concrete evidence from Tertullian revealing his teachings. I do not believe that he “changed his opinions later on (that’s what they say when white anting is required).

I just surfed in for a visit and must say respectfully that I am not in agreement with your stance that the Bible condemns homosexuality. I would suggest you guys read Dr. Daniel Helminiak's book,
| Reply: I'm well aware of the Biblical revisionism of man that so permeates the world today, but writing a book cannot void the unambiguous authority of the Bible anymore than unfaithful Church leaders of the past could. New age polemicists cannot redefine, reinterpret or reform the Bible to conform to modern feelings or philosophies, nor change the history of scripture's clear and universal injunctions against homosexuality. Why do you all think that bikinis and short skirts are immoral? How is one supposed to swim in a robe that is down to the ankles? A lot of the old biblical rules for dress was cultural and for those people back in biblical times. Furthermore, is there a certain length when a woman's dress or skirt becomes immoral? If not it's arbitrary.

I came out of Catholicism because I could not reconcile the things my Church was teaching with what the Bible taught. The pivotal moment was when I heard a preacher point out that the bible teaches that no man is infallible, only God. When I asked my priest about it, instead of telling me to search the scriptures, he did just the opposite and said they might be confusing to me. It was then and there that I realized that he didn't really want me to find out for myself what the scriptures said. From then on I started reading for myself and was directed to your page. God's blessings for helping us to understand the authority of the word concerning doctrine and truth vs. that claimed by the Church.
