We are to God the aroma of Christ. (Eph 5:2)

« on: January 31, 2010, 12:36:54 PM »

Hi,

I need help with Daniel 10. Most people believe that "certain man" of Daniel 10:5 to be Archangel Gabriel, but no where in whole chapter mentioned Gabriel by name.  Then when we read in Daniel 10:11-13...

Dan 10:11-13
  • And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
  • Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
  • But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

The prince of the kingdom of Persia is Satan. He withstood the messenger for 21 days. Can anyone explain what is the signification of 21 days? Exactly who is this messenger that Satan withstood before Michael (Jesus Christ) come to help him.  Is He Gabriel or just a messenger?  I believe Archangel Gabriel also Christ.

Anyway when we later read..

Dan 10:16-18
  • And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
  • For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.
  • Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,

What does it means by "servant of this my lord talk with this my lord"?  Does it means these two messengers are God Himself? Does it means that the first messenger of Daniel 10 was the Lord whom Satan withhold for 21 days before Micheal came to help him?  God help God?  Can anyone help me with this vision?

Finally in verse 21, the prince of Persia must refer to Satan rule during Daniel's time, then the prince of Grecia also refer to Satan's rule, but with less power during church age since Michael, our Prince, has fought against him and bound him, Revelation 12. Correct?

Thanks,
Erik
