Next President of the US 2017

Now that the primaries are over and the candidates have been selected, who is the best for the job?

Isn't the Green Party akin to Socialism or Communism? Are you promoting the Green Party with this poll, because they're not really a legitimate alternative. We won't have any rights at all left if that crew were to gain control. They'd take away our cars, have the government raise your kids, make us pay for neutering, abortions and ultimately euthanasia. Not to mention steal from the rich and attempt to outlaw eating meat and require what they say are healthy diets. Their agenda is ant-freedom. These tree-huggers are actually anti-American and I don't think they should be included in this poll because thy are right now insignificant. You're giving them way more publicity than they merit. Don't think the Green Party is just some kids trying to save the planet, they have a bigger agenda. At least the Libertarians have a bit of common sense.

Thank you James for your comment.
No, I am not supporting the green party.  I simply went to the web to find who was going to be on the next ballot and found these, so I listed them.  This is the most difficult election that I have ever seen.  This country seems to be going down the tubes at a rate that leaves me in a tail-spin. I am a vet and fought to oppose communism and now it seems to be coming to us with vengeance.
The only regret that I have is that I only have one life to live for my God.

I always liked Ron Paul. Johnson is really the best choice out of the 4

I'm undecided as of now, but I may be inclined to sit this one out. Which is a terrible contemplation.

Since realistically, it's only a choice between Trump and Hillary, I'm going to hold my nose and vote Democratic. I don't trust Trump not to destroy the Republic by spouting ignorant, reactionary, reckless, divisive and foolhardy ideas. He's simply too stubborn and not smart enough to be President. I will vote my conscience!

>>>To get booed off the convention floor for that shows the type of people who are endorsing Trump.

What is that supposed to mean TERRY!  What type of people are we?

Lots of Good Republicans are supporting Trump, just because a few liberals attempt to sabotage him doesn't mean anything.

I have not made up my mind yet as I ponder the choices carefully.

I noticed that Kaine was schooled as a Jesuit.  Not having the slightest idea what a Jesuit was, I went to the web and found the following:
for some deeper insights.

Your comments are welcome.

You're out of your mind if you think Ted Cruz is a liberal. Are you even a Republican?  That just goes to show just how ignorant these people who bow at the altar of Trump are about this election. They don't know anything about the candidates, abilities or intellect, they just support his vague concepts with no tangible way of actually implementing most of the nonsense he spouts. Like He said after the attack in Nice, he's going to take care of the Terrorist problem in Germany  ::)

Some people will buty anything.

Probably not, but Trump will keep it Christian, no abortions and strong military.

There's one word that describes why I can't vote for Trump. Dignity. He has none. He's like a 16 year old who is the bully on a football team. That just doesn't work for a president. He's the only candidate that makes me sad. Hillary is corrupt but Trump is dangerous. He's already got China saber rattling because of his comments and he isn't even President. You figure it out.

Perhaps this is once I am glad to live in California.  Hillary is up by 25%she will get California's electoral votes no matter what I do.   I can vote for someone like perhaps the Constitution Party or someone else and not have to think that voting "not Trump" I helped elect Hillary. May God have mercy on our poor country.

Voting "Not Trump" is the only thing that I think of to do, as I cannot in good conscience, as a intelligent voter, cast a vote for that man. Perhaps I'll vote for one of the other candidates, I don't know.

A vote for Gary Johnson with William Weld is a vote for Hillary Clinton. So you might as well vote Trump. He's not as bad as these liberals make him out to be.

A vote for Gary Johnson with William Weld is a vote for Hillary Clinton. So you might as well vote Trump. He's not as bad as these liberals make him out to be.

The Liberals? Ok, now you've got me started. The liberals don't make Trump call people vile names, disrespect women, say silly things like He's going to make Mexico pay to build a wall or he's going to fix Germany, or call Mexicans rapists and killers, slam people as ugly, make fun of handicapped people, stoop to childish comments such as chanting "Crooked Hillary," something I would scold my 9 ye old for doing, and on and on. That's Trump himself, that's who he is. No liberal made him that way, that's who he is. Stop trying to blame so called liberals. I'm far from liberal, and I can't vote for Trump because of Trump. Not what any liberal said.

As a born again Christian I was on the fence but was teetering away from Trump until today. After watching and listening to both the Republican convention and the Democratic convention, I am reluctantly switching my vote this year from Republican to Democratic. I do so based on what I have heard from both candidates and both parties. There is no "grace" in anything I heard from the Republicans, only anger, vitriol and bombast. From the Republicans, it seems we can expect the politics of fear, false claims of weakness, fermenting division, name calling and scape-goating. From the Democrats, I heard the politics of confidence rather than fear, strength rather than weakness, unity rather than division, a plan (and record) of making things better rather than a lot of vague claims and ideas that no one in their right mind thinks Trump can actually do. I heard Democrats preach their record rather than blaming others for failures in government. All I heard from the Republicans is that the sky was falling, even though they hold the numbers in the house and senate. They take no responsibility for anything.

I'm sick of hearing that the Democrats are the reason everything that is wrong with this country when we are the greatest and one of the richest countries in the world, and everyone knows it. What's wrong with this country is that the Republicans won't get together with the Democrats and actually get something done. They could have won this election, instead they nominate a beastly and brutish man like trump to lead us. It's their own fault as there is no leadership there. It's their way or the highway. That's not politics. All this biting, moaning and whining about how bad we have it, and how destructive it has been under Obama and Clinton, I don't even know what they're talking about anymore. Muslims, billion dollar Walls, poking China with a stick, it's all so surreal and stupid. The way to deal with China is to speak softly and carry a big stick, not to beat them with a stick thinking they'll be scared and go to their corner. To listen to Trump you would think the country was about to collapse and we're living under communism. Enough already.

Finally, and most important of all, the Democrats showed a history of change with dignity, rather than a bunch of wild ideas that cannot possibly come to fruition from Trump. Build a wall and have Mexico pay for it? The man is absolutely nuts. He bankrupted more companies and ruined more people's lives by his self-centered greed than any democrat ever did. He can't even handle his own company's finances and keep them from becoming insolvent, much less that of this country. All his words of rebuilding and changing everything clearly are not true if we look at his track records. The only one he's made rich and solvent is himself, never his companies or the investors. In my mother's day, they called people like that scam artists or snake oil salesmen, not candidates.

The bottom line for me is this, the country will be stronger together under Hillary, than torn apart at the seams by Trump's silly antics, ignorance of finances, politics and international affairs. Trump lost my vote by making a fool of both himself and attempting to pit one group against another, over and over and over again. My decision didn't come overnight because frankly I don't like Clinton's policy on abortions, their funding and a few other issues, but that pales under the multitude of downright stupid ideas and beliefs of Trump. I have to agree with others who have said that we can't have a man in the white house that no one knows what he's going to say or do next. This year, I'm voting Democrat and it's not because of liberals, it's because Republicans foolishly nominated a man that no real Christian should allow to take the seat to be the most powerful man today. That would be more foolish than voting for Hillary Clinton.
