The Growing Global Threat of Isis
« on: August 28, 2014, 09:45:14 AM »
Is it starting to sink in with you people yet, or do you still think exporting democracy to the Muslim world is a good idea? You still think the Cold war with Russia  is over? You still think that China is our friend just because they sell us cheap fabrics?

Do you now see why strong man Muammar Gaddafi was the leader of Libya, Strong man Saddam Hussein was leader of Iraq and strong man Bashar al-Assad was the leader of Syria? God knows what he is doing having these wicked men in power and ruling with an iron hand. They kept groups like Isis from getting any semblance of a foothold. You see what happens when outsiders attempt to meddle in other countries that they have no business meddling in? Just look at these countries now with these Isis nuts sweeping over them. Not the desired effect the US was hoping for when it pushed democracy and the overthrow of these leaders, is it? al-Qaeda was small potatoes compared to these Isis monsters. So you'd better get use to slaughter and attacks here and abroad.

This country needs to take strong action against this group "NOW" before things get more out of control than they already are now and these morons bring the war to our front doors. Stop with the petty partisan politics and come together to get something done. Because while these braying donkeys are worrying abou the Bundy ranch, taxes and Obamacare, the world is falling apart around them.

Philly,
You rock dude. You are so right on target. I find it strange Christians don't care about how their government works. It is especially troubling what they think about these nations that Americans think are harmless. China is even more dangerous than Russia. They are building up their military, their navy has exploded, they are stealing western technology, most hackers in this country are out of china, they buzz American planes and no one cares, they ignore US patents and trademarks, they are bullying their China sea neighbors, they claim all the islands in the China Sea belong to them, they have long supported North Korea, and so on and so forth. All Americans care about is being their trading partners. And I don't hear a word about any of this except on European or foreign news stations. The American news networks in this country are pitiful. News about such things is almost non existent.

Philly D., what do you think about our president doing nothing and saying today that they have no plan as of now?

Our leaders don't act, they only react.

What do you want him to do? It's easy for the peanut gallery to criticize, not so easy to come up with an effective plan of action.

Well, he could do more to prevent the slaughter of innocents by the isil soldiers who take over territory. Like bombing their tanks and artillery and motor vehicles. I don't want the US to send in troops, but we could help in that way. Without their hardware, they're just another rebel group.

Isn't the president doing that?

Americans are sheltered and spoiled because they think they are far away from all the conflict. That's going to change if they don't wake up.

Too busy having 60 minute specials on Obamacare, gays in football, the latest pop-star tramp, 200 ways to resurrect the Benghazi attack, Sarah Palin's new money grab, Robin Williams woes, the protection for the Kennedy's compound, and the President's vacation. No time for serious issues.

The plan is to limit Isis, rather than eliminate Isis. Our government, no matter whether Democrat or Republican, has always been short sighted. That's why they handcuffed the soldiers in Vietnam and kept the war going years when it could have been avoided. Why do you think Korea is divided now? Because the Americans leaders are always so short sighted. Why do you think China is a great industrial nation now building up its forces and threatening its neighbors? It is largely with the help of big money American politics and because of America and its short sightedness.

Why do you think Obama cut the military in the middle of all this? Because our leaders are always short sighted.

On the other hand, it's not our job to come up with an effective plan of action. But it is their Job to do it. That's what they get paid for. That's why they were voted into office. Time for them to step up or step off.

:GoodPopst: Sometimes wisdom comes from the strangest places. I think you have hit the mark with your comments. You said it right, "Not the desired effect". Solutions always sound good until they are put in motion and you don't get the "desired effect". I believe you were right. God had these men in power for a reason. What we now have is anarchy in those places. Not the desired effect.

We've got one thing going for us. The leaders of Isis are stupid. They have done things that have the whole world allied against them, so I'd say their days are numbered. Thank God.

:iagree: I was thinking the same thing. That's a good way to lose all the land you've captured, turn those sympathetic to your cause against you, galvanize many nations and armies to fight you, and assure that bombs will fall on your secret hiding places. L O L! They're Morons! The world is better off without them.

I wouldn't say they are stupid, they are Satanic. All men under rule of Satan do things that make you scratch your head. Whether they are smart or not is of no consequence. Osama Bin Laden was not stupid. But he was Satanic, which makes him do things that we all see as foolish and mindless.
